Growing up in a tiny town, I spent most of my days creating + daydreaming. For as long as I can remember I wanted to create a business that allowed me to continue filling my days with creating + daydreaming. Hey, I’m just a girl.

There were so many unknowns when it came to the business plan but I knew it would be called Fleurish- a word steeped in my namesake French roots, with floral ties and a spirit of growth and abundance.

Why scent creation? I was (big flex on the word ‘was’) super duper asthmatic. The kind where the nurses + I were on a ‘first name, how’s your personal life going’ basis. Sometimes the symptoms of a little fragrance treat were worth it; a trade for the calm and tranquil setting a candle could instantly create with one single match. Most of the time though, the calm + tranquil were drowned out by the consequences. As a creator + crafter who needed multiple creative outlets at any given time, I decided it was time to have my cake + eat it too- to make the perfect candle with clean ingredients, that I could burn in my home without it stirring up a host of allergic reactions… how hard could it be? One trip to Hobby Lobby later had me hacking chips off an economy block of wax and into the double boiler that I assembled with my trusty mac-and-cheese pot and a pyrex bowl from the back of my cupboard (pros, they’re just like us), then ultimately poured into a small glass jar. It wasn’t pretty, but after I made my first candle, I felt like I could do anything. After all, I did have a chemistry laden science degree that was solely collecting dust + interest. It felt right to put it to good use. From my kitchen, to my basement, up to my attic, and ultimately into my commercial retail and production space, Fleurish Co. (her friends call her FloCo) has arrived. 

Fleurish began as a candle company but quickly became so much more. Seeing the impact my products made for not only individuals but for businesses as well has lit a fire in me (& my team) that drives us to continue creating clean ingredient products that give our clients a literal breath of fresh air.
